goodbye 2010

I started 2010 off with short blonde hair and am waving it goodbye with long black hair. That just goes to show how different things get in one year's time. I can't believe it's already a new year! This year has been so good and at times so bad but I am thankful for everything that happened. I was looking back at all the pictures from this year and I am amazed how much I have grown, my family has grown, the puppies have grown, mine and Brian's relationship has grown. Anyway, I love making lists so here are some goals of mine for the new year!

1. Take more pictures (digital, film, polaroid)

2. have a more stable routine for the week

3. travel + roadtrips

4. keep sewing and learn more about it

5. get to the GYM (of course, isn't this always on everyone's list?)

6. plan our wedding<333

7. make new friends

I'd love to read your new years goals! Do you usually stick to them? Have you been looking back at pictures too and reliving memories? Hope you all have good new year's eve's! Any traditions?

After seeing these beauties, I HAD to figure out how to make one for myself. I figured it would be a fun projects for a sunday evening. I came across this wonderful video tutorial on burda style. Thought I'd share. Enjoy! <3

Wedding Update

My Fiancé and I have fallen is love with a local venue called The Newland Barn. It is everything we wanted and more! We knew exactly what we wanted from the start and were just looking for it. Since it is found we can keep this wedding ball rolling! It's all so exciting! Here are a few pictures of a beautiful wedding at the newland barn that inspired us and helped us fall more in love with the venue.

As far as my dress, I am in love with EVERYTHING Ms. Sarah Seven creates. These are a few of my absolute favorites:

I also just discovered Ivy and Aster<3 There are so many pretty pretty things! It's so hard to choose! All of these breath taking dresses are all so insanely affordable too!

What do you gals think? I know one of these amazing designers will be making my dress...I wish I could wear them all at once! haha! I find myself being more attracted to the shorter wedding dresses..What are your thoughts on wedding dress length? What kind of dresses have you girls worn or plan on wearing?

I am ENGAGED!!!

...it's true! My boyfriend of two years proposed to me yesterday and I couldn't be happier! We have liked eachother since we were fifteen years old and finally started dating when we were twenty two and it has been amazing since. The ring he got me is perfect! I am in LOVEEE with it! It's vintage from London<3 I am so excited to share the rest of my life with this man. Brian is the most kind hearted, genuine, one of a kind person I have ever known and I am soo lucky to be his fiancé and future wife. We want to have a year long engagement (we only get to call each other fiancé's once.. ) and that gives us plenty of time to dream up a perfect intimate wedding we can share with our friends and family..I am on cloud nine! Here are some photos I took of my beautiful ring..

Round One

Happy thanksgiving!

I get TWO thanksgivings this year and I am thrilled! First Brian and I are hanging out at home with his family. Brian's sister Leslie came down from portland<3 We are really really glad to see her. Her visits are few and too far between for us..

Later today we are going to my family's house and we are having another feast and end the evening with white russians and drunken fun! I adore my family and can't wait for our time with them. My family is crazy and fun and I can truely be myself with them and it's something I have realized not a lot of people have..so with that I am thankful for my family today! I am baking a pumpkin pie as we speak and it is my first time doing that! I hope everyone loves it. My two aunts, Tina and Gina, just moved back from Washington (I think I mentioned that in the last post..) and it just really feels more like the holidays with them back home.

I'd love to hear what you all are doing today..What are all of your traditions? I hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving full of love! I will post some pictures later of all the festivities! XO

ps. I had a dream that I was getting matching back tattoos with my aunts and now I want a new tattoo (not on my back, I was thinking another knuckle one)! haha...silly dreams...

big hearts fall hard

Tuesday, November 16th was mine and Brian's two year anniversary! I am more in love with him every single day. We had a nice dinner and bought some presents (this, this, and a few odds and ends for our place.) OH! I also got these beauties:

It's been a long week for me. I am waking up early for my sewing class and then going to a hockey game tomorrow! I'm really looking forward to bundling up with my love and watching men make skating on ice look easy.
