I found my wedding dress!!

Just when I thought I was in love with a dress I went to my second round of trying on wedding dresses (same dress shop). I took my friend beautiful friends Mia and Chelsea. (Chelsea is also getting married this year!) Well..I fell head over heels in love with the most perfect dress EVER!





When I first started my adventure to find my perfect wedding dress I didn't want a long dress or a big fluffy dress. I had no idea what I was missing out on during my first round of dress shopping. Today I tried on all long, fluffy wedding dresses and my heart was so happy when I was in them.

I am so glad to have friends like Mia and Chelsea. It was SO amazing to have great friends supporting me and helping me find my perfect dress. I am adding my own spin on the dress and I cannot waittttt to walk down the isle and feel like a princess in this gorgeous dress. I go back in one month to be measured. This gives me a little time to lose a few pounds.

While we were there one of the girls brought over a box of cupcakes and a card filled with signatures and sweet notes for Chelsea and I. We were really confused at first not knowing who it was from exactly. It was from my old co workers (and Chelsea's current co workers)! How sweeet! we both felt really loved! People are so sweet and thoughtful! It has been such a great great day!

Dreaming of..

This is my favorite dress from yesterday. My consultant, Rachel, told me that I would dream of THE ONE and here it is. I go back next week and I can't wait to get back into it. xo

Wedding Dresses Round One

Today was dedicated to wedding dress shopping! The first place I went to was where I fell in love. I fell in love with a short dress and a long dress. What a delema! I have a few more appointments at different wedding dress shops throughout the month. It's just a crazy feeling to be in a wedding dress shop, for ME.



It's just crazy to be at this point in my life. I want to soak this experience up. It's the best feeling to be able to share this with family and friends too.



I also got to have the cutest little helper too! She loved rummaging through all of the poofy dresses but liked the dresses for HER much better.

I am now the proud owner of a 2011 honda insight!

today had been an amazing and happy day. I was quite overdue for a new car. After four long hours yesterday, it's all mine. To add icing to my yummy cake of a day i had the day off work and even took a nap with B<3

C r o c h e t night

Tonight I got together with my two aunts (they're twins) + my cousin, Quin, and crocheted! YAY! I loveee crocheting. We are learning to do granny squares. I want to master granny squares and make a big blanket out of them. How cute, right? These pictures are from the early stages of the squares (obviously since it's not quite a square yet..) I love family time! I'm really excited for my aunts to come wedding dress shopping with me. We also talked about making turkey burgers sunday. yum! I can't wait.



I need to get some shut eye..I've got a long day tomorrow (4 hour sewing class after 8 hours of work). I am really REALLY looking forward to my sewing class though. I'm still in the early steps of my dress. I'll take some photos tomorrow of my progress. How are you all doing?

I'm aliveeee

It's been awhile since I have blogged..I just have felt like I haven't had much to say. I have just been working a lot. I did recently started weight watchers and that is going okay. I did it a couple years ago and lost 15 pounds. This time around is harder for me..I'm not sure why. My goal now is to lost 1-2 pounds a week and by my birthday (june) it will be a good amount of pounds gone. I'd say that is pretty realistic.

I have some appointments this month for wedding dress shopping. I'm so excited! At first I was going to order a dress online and started having second thoughts. I would feel more comfortable trying dresses on before jumping in and being committed to a dress.



Brian and I got ipod touches a couple of weeks ago and boy (!) are we in love! We felt like we had been living under a rock and had no idea. We decided on ipod touches over iphones because we want to wait until we're married to extend any contracts and what not and also want to wait until the iphone5 comes out to invest in iphones. The ipod touch can get all the same apps and you can get wifi just about everywhere and it has been totally worth it for us. So far my favorite apps are: instagram, words with friends, starbucks mobile card, and tetris! What are some of your favorite apps?



So some goals for the week I have for the week are:

1. go to sewing class
2. start on my skirt with houndstooth fabric
3. gym at least 3 x
4. clean my car

Tomorrow in my sewing class I will start making this dress. I am REALLLLY excited about it! I got white kona cotton and white satin for the lining. Very simple and I can't wait to see how it turns out! I am going to make the dress with thicker straps and I want to sew some lace to the end of the satin to give it a slip feel.

Today when I saw the Orla Kiely Spring 2011 line, I was insanely inspired! It is such an amazing feeling and it's quite new to me. I want to make my own line of dresses one day. Behold the beauty of Orla Kiely:



Tonight I also did something for Project ReStyle. Pardon the quick, oddly lighted pictures, you get the point though..
